About the Role
Komodo Resort is seeking an experienced Resort General Manager to oversee all operations of our boutique island resort on Sebayur Island in Komodo National Park. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, a passion for remote island living, and the ability to lead a diverse team to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a unique and challenging environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily resort operations including F&B, housekeeping, maintenance and guest services
- Manage and develop a team of 40+ local and international staff
- Monitor financial performance, budgets and cost control
- Ensure consistently high guest satisfaction and manage online reputation
- Coordinate with the dive center team for integrated guest experiences
- Manage supplier relationships, logistics and island supply chain
- Implement and maintain health, safety and environmental standards
- Report to Neptune World management on performance and strategic initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in hotel/resort management
- Proven track record managing remote or island properties
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing diverse teams
- Excellent financial acumen and P&L management experience
- Fluent in English (Indonesian language skills highly valued)
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field
- Willingness to live on a remote island with limited infrastructure
- Passion for marine conservation and sustainable tourism
