About the Role
Neptune Liveaboards is looking for a skilled Marine Engineer to maintain and operate the mechanical and electrical systems across our fleet of three luxury dive vessels. You will be responsible for engines, generators, water makers, air conditioning and all marine systems, ensuring our vessels operate safely and efficiently across Indonesia's waters.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair main engines, generators and auxiliary systems
- Oversee water makers, sewage treatment and fuel systems
- Manage planned maintenance schedules for all three vessels
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues during voyages
- Ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations and classifications
- Manage spare parts inventory and procurement
- Train and supervise junior engineering crew
- Coordinate with shipyard for scheduled dry dock and major repairs
Requirements
- Marine engineering certification (Class 3 or higher)
- Minimum 3 years experience on commercial vessels or yachts
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, generators and marine electrical systems
- Experience with water makers and HVAC systems
- Ability to work at sea for extended periods
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid STCW certifications
- English communication skills required
